Somerville Bread Company New Account Overview

Thank you for exploring the possibility of opening a wholesale account with Somerville Bread Company! We are proud to deliver the highest quality breads to some of the leading kitchens in the Boston area.

We are pleased to provide wholesale accounts for any business which receives a standing order of $100 or more a week. Please don’t hesitate to reach us to arrange for product samples or to further discuss your bread needs. 

Standard Terms

Orders: All breads are baked to order. All orders or changes to standing orders must be placed with the office (never with a driver), between the hours of 8a – 3p, at least two days prior to delivery. Cancellations due to holiday or other circumstances must be called in within the same time frame.

Deliveries: When setting up a new account, we first need to determine whether that new account can be fit into one of our existing delivery routes. In order to maximize this possibility, we ask for a two-hour delivery time window. Typically, clients who receive a standing order in excess of $300 a week are eligible to receive delivery in the Boston area on a regular schedule. Clients who schedule a standing order of $100 or more a week may arrange for pickup at our production facility, unless alternative arrangements are made (in certain instances we are able to accommodate deliveries below the $300 threshold).

Invoicing System / Terms: We utilize an electronic invoicing system supported by Intuit Quickbooks. We typically email weekly invoices every Monday for deliveries made the prior week. Our preferred method of payment is ACH bank transfer (credit card payments require 2.5% processing fee). Payment terms are 10 days, unless otherwise arranged.
